Jobs list overview < >

The main window of the Jobs pane is the jobs list, very similar to the content list of the Guide (see Content list overview).

Jobs represent content being downloaded over different statuses:
  • Job waiting
  • the transmission start time of the content is not reached, the job is waiting for the beginning of the transmission.
  • Job running
  • the transmission of the content is in progress.
  • Job done
  • the transfer of the content is complete.
  • Job update
  • the transfer of the content is complete, the job is waiting for the beginning of next scheduled transmission for update.
  • Job incomplete
  • the transfer of the content is done but not complete, the job is waiting for the beginning of next scheduled transmission for repairing.
  • Job repairing
  • the repairing of the content is in progress.
  • Job interrupted
  • the user has interrupted the job before completion.

Every job you have selected for download is displayed in a table, under six different columns.

Name

The name of the content with an icon describing the type of content (e.g. web or video ).
Leave the mouse over the name for two seconds and a short description of the content will appear (if the Show tooltips option is set, see Display settings).
A lock is also displayed close to the type icon if the content is encrypted. Encrypted content requires specific user rights in order to be downloaded (see User Rights in the OPENSKY™ settings to learn more about user rights).

Start Time

The content transmission start time.

Duration

Remaining time for this job to be done. This value is updated as the job progresses. This field is empty when the job is done.

Progress

The progress of a job. This value is updated as the job progresses.
This field is empty, as long as the job is waiting. When a job is in progress, this field displays the job's completion. When the job is done, the field contains the message "Done". Leave the mouse over the progress bar for two seconds and the actual job progress will appear, displaying a value between 0 and 100%, (if the Show tooltips option is set, see Display settings).

Note: Refer to Jobs statuses on the top of this page to understand the message displayed in progress.

Size

The size of the content. A content can be compressed and occupy a larger disk space after uncompressing (see Files list overview for information about compressed content).

Speed

The speed of the content transfer. This value usually ranges from 8 KB/s to 256 KB/s.
The KB/s unit means "Kilo Bytes per second" (1 Kilo Byte per second corresponds to 8 Kilo bits per second).

Note: You can sort the jobs list according to one of the six columns. Click a column header to sort the list ascending or descending .
