SatSurf settings |

SatSurf requires a specific proxy configuration in order to work correctly. Check this checkbox to enable automatic proxy configuration when you login to SatSurf. It will also restore your previous proxy configuration when you logout.
Note 1: This automatic proxy configuration works only for Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you are using any other Internet browser, use the proxy parameters displayed when you login to set your proxy configuration manually.
Note 2: You need to first select a default dial-up connection prior to check automatic proxy configuration (see Connections settings to learn how to set the default dial-up connection).
Check this checkbox to allow OPENSKY™ popping up warnings when the system proxy configuration is not correct. If enabled, a warning will pop up whenever you are using SatSurf and bypassing the proxy. This makes sure that all of the Internet traffic is received via satellite, and helps you configure your Internet applications properly (peer to peer, e-mail client, Internet browser...).
Warning will also pop up if you are disconnected from SatSurf and still trying to use the proxy. This will help you understand when an application is downloading via satellite and when not.
By default, the SatSurf service uses your dial-up connection for upload, and your satellite adapter for download. This option enables you to add a couple of bytes per second to your download speed!
Check this checkbox to enable dial-up connection for download.
You may specify the exact ratio of data downloaded between your dial-up connection and your satellite adapter.
Use the slide bar to define the ratio between dial-up and satellite download:
